This short, hefty blade is made with breaking down fish in mind. Made with a short handle and small blade this knife is designed to be brought with you and be used where you’re catching and presumably processing your fish. As such, the proportions have been shrunk for easier transport, though the 1095 carbon steel blade is still 3/16’’ thick and up to the task of breaking down the largest fish. The knife is 8 1/2’’ overall, with both the blade and the handle measuring 4 1/4’’. The handle is made from lightly figured black walnut with a generous finger swell to keep wet hands away from the razor sharp double beveled blade.
