Large Chef's knife, Madrone and Phenolic
Up for sale is an excellent chef’s knife.
This is classic European chef’s knife design. The curve to the blade is designed for rapid action with a shorter lift and therefore a quicker stroke. The blade material is domestically produced 1095 high carbon steel. The handle is Madrone I recently recovered during a boating trip to the San Jaun islands. It has been kiln dried and then finished with oil and wax. The Black Phenolic material on the pommels adds weight for balance and is great for the chef that uses the butt of their knife to break up shellfish or tenderize small cuts of meat.
